Open Letter to Armenian President
Mr. Serzh Sargsyan
Mr. President, No Yield to Pressure no more mistakes…
I am an an ordinary Armenian from Diaspora which boasts more than 6 million people in touch with their heritage. Since we have been shortchanged with treaties throughout history. Your “Joint delaration with Turkey” so called “Roadmap” was a failure…
Therefore we wish you caution in your upcoming meeting with Mr. Aliyev and OSCE Minsk Group in MUNICH regarding Karabakh/artsakh negotiations. Please consider that, for the overwhelming majority of Armenians, the following fundamental minimal circumstances should exist in any your future peace treaty, 1-Karabakh achieve full independency, including the Lachin (berdzor) corridor, Kashatagh and kalbejar (instead of Shahumyan) 2-karabakh surrounding territories shoud have a
natural unarmed security zone. 3-Only some non-strategic Parts of remaining liberated lands
would be returned as token peace.
4-Karabakh should partake in any decicisions determining its fate without any outside influence as soon as possible Conclusion,
Karabakh’s self-determination should be a central tenet in any negotiation. and Karabakh’s independence should come “concomitant” to any pakage involving the return of land for peace. Without the above minimum, any negotiation is absolutely not acceptable to the Armenian people worldwide, considering the senseless bloodshed we have experienced.
Dear president sargsyan you should, refrain against pressures from the West nor the East and also do not forget Turks and Azeris are always at risk of reneging on any promise made.
Mr. president Sargsyan your stance on this issue will determine the fate of the Karabakh and entire Armenian people and your legacy you will leave in History as well as your presidency———————————————————– Few words to our adversary, President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. We extend a massage of peace as neighbors. You do realize that Karabakh /Artsakh is not yours ancestrally and you will never gain it. your new attempt to start war will be your last one and you will lose more lands and maybe your presidency Armenians will never ever accept that Artakh/Karabakh come under Azerbaijani rule.
Also we want to convey a few words to the OSCE Minsk Group so they may approach this matter impartially, we are not sure how much you know about the Armenian history. Throughout centuries we have suffered due to our neighbors because we are Christian Armenians. For 70 years under Soviet regime. Azerbaijan took advantage of the times and discriminated and seized Karabakh’s human rights. You should be aware that we have been forced into this war with Azerbaijan, having to protect our infants and mothers being launched out of high-rise windows during the massacres of Sumgait and other cities in Azerbaijan and Karabakh.
We triumphed in preserving our existence but lost lots of our sons and people. In order to insure peace we want to consider returning some part of the surounding librated territotories, Although it have been our ancestral lands. We hope you are aware of the indomitable will of
the Armenian and Karabakh people and their values of their ancestors. If you don’t consider these realities in the South Cacauses, then we assure you that the area will experience massive bloodshed and resistence for many many years, like Ireland and Palestin, Keshmir and others.
We don’t want world including the West and the East,
to mistaken and regret the aftermath for a new conflict and bloodshade in the South Caucausus.
We sincerly hope all parties involved will take the time to consider the above realitty.
Respectfully yours,
Ishkhan Babajanian MD
